This manuscript was developed from the Final Year Project (FYP) research on integrating Building Information Modelling (BIM) with Augmented Reality (AR) for construction layout visualization. The study proposed and implemented a standardized multimodal BIM-to-AR deployment framework supporting marker-based, ground-plane, and location-based AR workflows.
The work used Autodesk Revit, FBX-based model transfer, Unity, Vuforia, ARCore, Cesium for Unity, Android deployment, custom UI controls, and AI-assisted C# scripting. Prototype applications were developed and physically tested to demonstrate the workflow and compare the three deployment approaches.
